Pat Timmons for Congress

Pat Timmons is a retired educator, small businessman and a lifelong resident of Michigan.

He grew up in Redford Township, MI and was educated at the University of Michigan [BA, 1972] and at Eastern Michigan University [MA, 1974].  His first job was a teaching position at the high school in Charlotte, MI.  He taught English and Psychology, coached volleyball and softball and served as English Department Chairman.

His next position was in the training department at Consumers Power Co.  There he trained nuclear experts in technical training skills after the 3 Mile Island disaster.  Then, while staying at home with his first born son, he became a certified master instructor in the Global 8D Problem Solving workshops at Ford Motor Company.

He formed a consulting company to work with customers in the Automotive, Semiconductor and Medical Device industries.  After over 20 years in this field, he returned to the public schools as the principal of the Alternative High School in Alpena, MI.

He retired in 2009.

He lives in Traverse City and is married with three adult children.
